Rödluvan in Storuman Part 1 2006

There was no snow in Umeå the first Advent. Rodluvan  went to Storuman inside the country. There it was real winter with snow.
The Bus was coming. This bus should go to Mo i Rana in Norway. But also stop in Lycksele and Storuman.
Rödluvan was getting on the blue bus.

Ove was putting the suitcases in the bus.

The restaurant there we should eat dinner. Picture taken in the afternoon when there were no guests yet.

The food. Julbord = Swedish Christmas table. Here they had all kind of fish.

From left to right: Ham,  slices of moose meat, smoked reindeer meat and smoked sheep meat.
All kind of fish on my plate. At the left you see slices of smoked salmon and  sugar and salt treated salmon. Word Finder call it:  raw spiced salmon.
After the fish you take the meat. All kind of meat on my plate. There is also warm food. Sausage, ribs of pork and Janssons Frestelse = sliced herring,  potatoes and onion baked in cream. The pink  food it a salad of beetroots.

Our lunch on Sunday was a dish named Pytt i panna (hash of fried sliced meat with onions and potatoes) with egg and  pickled beetroots.

In winter there are no trains going. Now they only have trains for the tourists in summer.

Rödluvan saw lot of beautiful pines from the bus window.
And when it was dark, Rödluvan saw a lot of nice Christmas trees with lamps. This picture is not taken from the bus.
And the moon was shining over the river. This picture not taken from the bus. It is taken in Umeå. But the moonlight over the river looked like this picture.
