Anyone posts a message and everyone on-line/digest (typically 1,000 +) gets a copy. There are ongoing discussions of many subjects (threads) relating to fly fishing, requests for information, help, philosophy, taciturn humor, gear, flies, tying, events, places, conservation, etc. I suggest your lurk (just listen/read) for a while to get the flavor of the list for a while, before entering the fray. The list tries to simulate a fly shop where you sit around the pot-bellied stove talking about every aspect of our sport in a friendly atmosphere. Hostility, flaming and/or name calling, vulgarity and commercial advertisements are not appropriate nor welcomed on this list. Even conservation arguments are made on an objective basis. Be prepared for a very high volume of messages/day. Make sure you know how to delete/copy/save and cut and paste to new files. I suggests you start in Digest Mode, rather then getting individual messages. You should have a filing system on your computer by setting up categorized directories to file posts you want to save. Participation in this list requires only your normal eMail system and functions and does not require WWW access. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * There are two FFD address the first is the ListServ@ address that accepts all your subscription COMMANDS AND REQUESTS: 1.
