Her Window to Reality

[1999-02-17]

The frame was cracked in some places; the colour was beginning to fall off, revealing the wood underneath. And the glass had a large crack in one corner. But still, it was the window of her dreams. The window where she could watch the world outside. A world of freedom. A world of joy.

Oh... How small people looked down there. She giggled a bit for herself, but soon, she became melancolic. What wouldn't she have given to be able to walk down together with the people down there?

She could only lie here for herself, in her bed by the window. Even in those moments her longing was strongest, she knew she would never be able to go outside.

But at least, she could always lie here, in her bed, and watch the world through her window.
