Thoughts!Non-ThoughtsThoughts
| Tea-time[1999-02-26]The cup was about half full. Or half empty, if you preferred thinking in those terms. He didn't, because he preferred thinking of what's positive with everything rather than what's negative with it. Oh, anyhow, the cup contained tea. Green tea; Kenscha, if you were to be specific. No sugar, no milk. Then again, that was really no surprise; nobody in their right mind would pour milk into green tea. His legs were crossed; he sat on the floor in something that could be described as a relaxed lotus position. His body wasn't quite ready for a real lotus, not yet. But his mind was clear anyway; this wasn't about the body, this was purely a matter of mind. A matter of clearing out thoughts, cleansing the soul from misleading thoughts, until nothing but calm remained. He grabbed the cup with one hand, lifted it to his lips, and took a sip of its contents. A warm, refreshing stream of caffeine-filled fluid traced its way down his throat, sending a wave of satisfaction through him. When he had emptied the cup, he put it back on the floor, and closed his eyes. At first, cloudy figures of the last things he had seen before closing his eyes danced inside his mind, but soon it all turned into a dim blur. He turned his focus inwards instead, and began thinking of everything. And nothing. This was tea-time. And tea-time is meant for thinking. And relaxing ones mind. |
