| My Need for Snow[1998-12-18]It's raining today. In December, six days before Christmas. In Northern Sweden. The snow is melting at a slow, but steady pace. Depressing, that's what it is, depressing. I'm feeling kind of like Eeyore here. After all, it's supposed to be a lot of snow this time of year up north at this time of year. Especially when Christmas is approaching. I want snow. And I want it now. Oh, there is snow outside. But I want it to snow and to be below zero degrees Celsius. I don't want a snow-storm or several meters of snow falling just like that, and I don't want freezing cold weather. I only wish for a nice layer of big flakes of snow on the ground, causing a crunchy, sweet sound when walking around outdoors. Snow on Christmas Eve is one of the things I always put on my wish-list. Apparently I write that part in a very fuzzy hand-writing, because I seldom get it. This time, to be safe, I printed my wishlist with an ink-jet. Hopefully Santa will notice my wish this time and fulfill it. Please? PS: I've been a good boy. Really, I did eat my lettuce. All of it. The carrots too. Maybe not the peas and the corns, but nobody is perfect, right? |
