[1999-02-05]
It is normal for the seasons to change. We expect them to, and they do.
Only that the seasons have shifted just a trifle too much lately. Last
week, we had -35 degrees celsius. This week, we have had between +2 and
-2. Yesterday, two decimetres of snow fell. Before that, some rain
fell. And finally, when I got up this morning, the barometer indicated
storm and the temperature outside was -11 degrees.
Is this supposed to be February? Oh sure, I like it when it snows, and
I'm not all that opposed to rain either. And I do prefer -2 prior
to -35. But what I don't like is when the weather varies this heavily.
Then again, weather is probably a stocastic function of some sort, and
if it is, I won't bother to find out why it is this way...
