| Bombs Are Falling[1999-03-27]Bombs are falling again in Europe. Once again german bombs fall over (ex.) Yugoslavia; for the third time this century. The first time was World War One and the second time was World War Two. This time, however, a lot of things are different. For instance, Germany is a part of "the alliance" this time, and is counted as one of the good guys. This time the dictator is not in Germany, but in Serbia. Yet the bombs are as lethal as before. And the bullets also. The grenades still kill as efficiently as they did before. There is a holocaust going on this time too. Only that this time the curse of exodus is put on the people of Kosovo; the government in Serbia has decided to obliterate them once and for all. In much likeness with what happened to the Jews during World War II. Every single war through history has shown us that the losers of war are always the civilians, and that there are seldom any winners. Stopping violence and murder with military conflict has never proved to be a good solution, only an indication that we have let things go too far before acting. The situation for the people of Kosovo was not possible to ignore, yet there were other options than declaring war onto Serbia. When negotiations proved to lead nowhere, it had been better to station UN-forces in Kosovo to protect the civilians, without even asking for permission, rather than attacking the Serbs, with the result that the serbic methodical attacks against the people of residents of Kosovo got even more intense. War is never a solution. But it's always a problem. |
