![]() There's a new moral panic in Sweden, again concerning pornography. This time it's not underground comic books but the real thing - ADULT MOVIES. This new 'debate' was started by ALEXA WOLFS' documentary SHOCKING TRUTH. She got the name for it from GREG DARK's series SHOCKING TRUTH, which is also heavily featured in the documentary. Greg Dark has made adult films for years and is also a successful music video director. He did one for Britney Spears and was going to do another one but then her company found out his background in porn and changed their minds. With this documentary Wolf is trying to prove that hardcore porn films broadcasted on cable channels are in fact nothing but recorded cases of gang rape! And we thought this kind of ideas went obsolete in the early 70's! It's back to the SNUFF debate again. Some debate too, when the film was shown on swedish TV4 all adult film actresses was banned from the discussion that followed! INGRID SWEDE tried several times to be allowed on the show but she was denied. A special viewing for the parliament was also arranged and led to a number of new laws being discussed. The 'documentary' was advertised on TV with slogans like 'WE DARE YOU TO WATCHT IT!' and 'THE MOST SHOCKING FILM YOU'LL EVER SEE!' just like the old SEXPLOITATION films of the 60's and 70's. And in the same tradition very little is happening on the screen, but in the voice-over they pretends it does. There's a short clip from a movie then a long shot of someone sitting in a sofa 'watching' the film and going 'I can't watch this!' and 'Oh god look at that!'. The big difference is of course that this film has no sense of humour and was made for anti-porn propaganda reasons, as well as the director making a name for herself. By saying that the women in the film clips are being drugged and raped she is using them for her own agenda without any concern for the women at all. This is what they do for a living! I doubt that the media and general public would have accepted this kind of treatment of any other token profession. Imagine some documentary photage of a western car factory with a voice-over saying things like 'These men have been drugged and forced to work in this sweat shop without any pay whatsoever!'. It's only because of the taboos surrounding SEX that they can treat porn actresses (and actors) like this. It's okey to show a complete lack of respect for them because they're in a business no-one is allowed to respect. You may say that the adult film producers are using these women to make money, but at least in their films the actresses AGREED to play a part AND they got PAID for it! In this 'documentary' they're just being used. The main story in the film is about a girl who says she did one (!) low-budget porn film. According to her she started to bleed from her ass during the shooting of this one, but the director still wanted to finish the film. This story is repeated over and over again and sets the background for exposing the WHOLE adult film business! There is some hardcore photage in the 'documentary', but for some reason no part of the girl's film is shown, which is a bit strange since this would have been a powerful propaganda tool. No-one I know has seen it and there's been no release of it as far as I know. Usually this kind of media spotlight would result in loads of ads like 'SEE THE FILM EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT! IS IT RAPE? YOU BE THE JUDGE!'. That would probably make a lot more money than anyone involved with it expected when they first made it. But no, nothing's been mentioned anywhere. I'm not gonna say that the film was never made, because I don't know if it was or not. It's just hard to believe that no-one in the business have tried to cash in on it. I mean, making money is the only reason they make that kind of cheapo porn flicks, isn't it? If the story IS true this was obviously not right at all. There's been quite a few incidents like this through out the years, but it is hardly common practise. ![]() Anyway, this country and most others too, have a censoring of films already. Rape, filming rape and selling real rape films is obviously illegal, so in reality the laws they say they want are already existing. This should be obvious even to them. What they really want is something completely different, only asking right out for more censorship or total bans isn't really popular among the fellow documentary makers, is it? How 'bout some honesty here? There's also an interview with a former male prostitute and a vice cop, non of them have anything to do with adult films. They're just there to link the movies to criminality and drug abuse. |

| In the USA adult video company ANABOLIC VIDEOS's series ROUGH SEX have been withdrawn. The films' theme WAS
OFFICIALLY to degrade the women in them in every way. The reason they were removed was not
new or old laws but a threat from actresses, including LINDA THORÉN and AVA VINCENT (who's in the first film), to boycot the company... That's different - that way everybody gets a choice without some committee making rules to 'protect' people. |

She's been in hundreds of films and she's also smart enough to co-own a video production company. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain that she's not being raped and if you've read any interviews with Mila you know that she's into this kind of stuff. This is the girl who's been criticized by fellow actresses because she does 'freebies'! Get the UGLY AMERICAN #13 fanzine for a long interview with her. ![]()
on film and with her CONSENT.'' What's that supposed to mean? That the truth (even if it is 'shocking' to some) doesn't matter? That people like Alexa Wolf and Ingrid Segelström have some god-given-right to change the truth whenever it suits them? Or that any sex that THEY wouldn't like to have is RAPE? It gets even more ridiculous when Mila is actually saying, in the film, that she enjoyed the scene.
Well, after the 'documentary' and the 'debate' had been on TV4 the cable channel TV1000 (from which Wolf taped most of the adult material for her film) got over 3000 new paying customers... |
