ANARCHY IN SWEDEN FLAG
There were two nights at Student Kåren. The first was for over 23's only and the second for 15 and over.

Sid flew to England the 25th and appeared in Well's Street Magistrates' Court on the 26th, charged with being caught with a flick knife at the 100 Club Punk Festival the night that girl lost an eye. Found guilty and fined 125 pounds. He came back to Sweden the same day. While he was away the rest of the band stayed in STOCKHOLM along with the road crew - Rodent and Boogie (roadies) and Laurie Dunn (VIRGIN records). On the evening of MONDAY 25 they, a swedish Punk shop owner and NME journalist Charles Shaar Murray tried to run from a restaurant without paying the bill and were caught. The swede was taken to a police station.
While in Stockholm the band stayed at the PARK hotel, now Scandic Park Hotel.

This was the first of the two nights at Student Kåren. Rumour has it that an attempt at an interview with the band and part of their soundcheck was recorded and possibly broadcasted by swedish radio. This has never surfaced on the bootleg market.
Before the gig there was a reggea disco.
A lot of fans too young to get in this night were hanging out outside the building. John introduced himself with ''I like to apologise for all the people who couldn't get in. It wasn't our fault''.
The monitors didn't work at all for most of the gig and between songs John screamed at Boogie to sort it. They were supported by rock band Wasa Express and for some reason Sid used their bass amp and blew the 18'' speaker. Wasa Express swore never to lend their gear to another punk band.

No one in the audience recorded the gig and any tapes with this date are either from the next day or deliberate fakes. Some listings say this gig was on the 23rd, that's wrong.
After the gig Sid and John did some DJ'ing and played Bob Marley and Sex Pistols records.

Songs played (possibly not in this exact order):
  • Anarchy in the UK
  • I wanna be me
  • Seventeen
  • New York
  • EMI
  • God save the Queen
  • Problems
  • No Feelings
  • Pretty vacant
  • No Fun
