PICTURE FRAME SEDUCTION / TRUE SOUNDS OF THE REVOLUTION split CD PICTURE FRAME SEDUCTION / TRUE SOUNDS OF THE REVOLUTION - split CD (CultJam Media)
This is a split CD with PICTURE FRAME SEDUCTION being an old band and TRUE SOUNDS OF THE REVOLUTION a new band.

PICTURE FRAME SEDUCTION plays fairly fast UK punk with too many metal solos and not enough energy. They're not the worst, but it's not very interesting or good or anything either. Lyrics about girls. The production is a bit flat and digital too. The last song Rebellion is the exception, that's got a good late EXPLOITED feel to it.

TRUE SOUNDS OF THE REVOLUTION varies between metal hardcore and UK82 punk with improper attempts at MTV chart punk choruses that makes me cringe. Decent lyrics though. Track Stand Out stands out.

NUNNERY - Nuns With Guns CD (Ztar Records)
The debut full length CD from this new Swedish band, featuring members from old bands like ATTENTAT, TROUBLEMAKERS and P-NISSARNA.

Musically this is a bit like THE RAMONES kinda pop with hard rock guitars and female vocals. There's the odd traditional country rock song on here too, with lyrics about getting lipstick on the dick.

Most of the lyrics are very american and teenage oriented (''I'm a sugarholic'', ''Boom Boom Booferbox''), to go with the music I guess.

The whole thing is well played and catchy at places but a bit too cute and designed for me. Free mp3s on their website.

DESTRUCTORS 666 /
FLETCH CADILLAC</A> - Biberati Ut Gothi CD EP DESTRUCTORS 666 / FLETCH CADILLAC - Biberati Ut Gothi CD EP (Rowdy Farrago Records)
Even more from DESTRUCTORS 666? They've released more records this year than most bands do in a life time. As usual it's a split EP with another band, this time FLETCH CADILLAC, from Norwich.

FLETCH CADILLAC open the CD with three songs. Out Of Luck is not a bad song, it sounds like a metallish version of DEAD KENNEDYS Police Truck at times. The rest of their tracks is more modern metal sounding with not enough energy.

DESTRUCTORS 666 do two hard rock version of White Light White Heat, with the 2nd being slightly better, and two of their own songs. Forces Of Law is like an old 80's Oi song that could have been good if it wasn't for the metal production and an annoying softcore guitar lead. Axles Of Evil is pretty much the same.

BILLYCLUB - No Justice CD (CultJam Media)
Inside the cover of the much over used Taxi Driver image is 14 songs from 4 rather old looking UK punks. They sound pretty much as I thought they would. Fast UK82 stuff mixed with metal, and all played with metal guitars, flat metal drums and metal vocals.

Vocalist MOK sounds more American than English. They've got fairly good angry lyrics that are mainly directed to nameless people around them I suppose; ''fuckin' hate you'', ''never wanna be like you'' and ''I'm sick of people telling me''.

If you're the kind of punk who wishes EXPLOITED sounded even more metal this will probably do. Comes with a 8-page colour photo/lyric booklet.
