''This is the cheesiest...this is the most worthless, cheesy merchandising in the history of the earth, ok?'' (showing a 'The Filth
And The Fury' 1'' badge) ''This is like a butt plug. So cheesy, so beyond cheesy, ok? I'm so glad. I mean if you had like
really genuine merchandising it would've been the end, you know. The Sex Pistols still live 'cause they believe in the
cheesiest merchandising of all time''
- James Woods to John Rotten at the Sundance Film Festival 2000, on Rotten TV #2

Punkettes at the Roxy, 1977.
Here's something from my archives:
|
Vintage Punkrocker, 1977, the Summer Of Hate. Before piercing
was trendy. Pogoing at the Roxy must have been a laugh wearing this kind of gear. Especially since he needed one of his mates to hold the hay-fork.

A few years ago a US rebublican congressman wanted 'Ernie and Bert' of 'Sesame Street'
banned from public broadcasting and video release since they were ''clearly homosexual'' and ''could have a bad influence
on children''. He was especially upset by the fact that they slept in the same bed and that one would be present in the bathroom
while (shock horror) the other was having a bath. Other proof included how they borrowed clothes from each other and that
there seemed to be only men in their social life (that would be the Cookie Monster, among others). History repeated itself when
simular arguments was heard from another congressman about one of the 'Teletubbies'.
Teresa Orlowski, owner of German porn company VTO, was sued by Steven
Spielberg in 1994 for releasing a concentrationcamp fist-fucking film called 'Schindler's Fist'.
Some sort of award should be presented to her, not just for the title but also for sticking to her guns, since he had already
objected to her company's offering the previous year; 'Jurassic Fuck'.

The lyrics to 'Shoeshine Boy' are something like this:
Hey Ricardo with the big brown eyes
Yes, you're the kind that money can buy
Bring your friends if they're young and sweet
They got active with them on the street
Shoeshine Boy - is that your pay?
Shoeshine Boy - How d'ya earn a 100 dollars today?
Emanuell with the pretty hair
Why don't you climb on up these old stairs?
Treat you like one of the boys
Have some fun with our adult toys
Hey Papa with the light brown skin
they're just home movies - that's no sin
I know your mama, she prays for you
It's good she don't know what you do
Count all your pennies
if you're smart you'll be
a millionaire by the end of the night
a movie star by the end of the night
a front page centre by the end of the night

I've only got 2 songs on vinyl with them. Anyone
