Remember, tweak to your liking! I'd like some feedback on these, posted to the list, be harsh if you must ;) And any favorite patches out there, just forward them to the list in an easily read list or format like I have done perhaps. Zap sound - to be sampled into a drum machine or to be triggered from the arp. Source: Saw wave VCF EG MG: Off Cutoff: 0 Attack: 0 Resonance: 10 Decay: 4-5 Basically the purpose is just to be EG Intensity: +5 Sustain: 0 a small zap-like drum. Sounds very KBD Track: 0 Release: 0 good when triggered quickly in two's. (this was in the poly6 list newsletter) Try turning the intensity to around +2 or +3 and the arp speed to around 8 for a gear helicopter like sound. Turn the intensity up slowly to make it slightly more acidic, great intro for a song!! ;) Ambient Music Box like Sound - I'll explain in a bit.. Source: PWM SubOsc: 1 Octave Down VCF EG MG: Off** Cutoff: 4 Attack: 2 Resonance: 2 Decay: 5 This is basically a boring sound EG: +2 Sustain: 10 with the MG off.. see below KBD: 0/4* Release: 7 *more bassy/less bassy **Alternative MG settings: MOD: VCA MG Wheel: a little below center, so it Frequency: 0 is not quite matched up with Delay: 0 the Bend wheel's 0 position. Level: 0 With these settings, the tone moves up and down semi-tones, slightly but noticeable, creating an ambient old record quality. To be expressive, as the note goes down, play slower, as they go up, speed up. Percussive Church Organ - intresting sample, after tweaking the above. Source: PWM SubOsc: 2 Octaves Down VCF EG MG: Off Cutoff: 4 Attack: 3 *** Decay should be set at 6 to take away Resonance: 4 Decay: 4*** *** the percussive sound to the program. EG: 0 Sustain: 2 *** Once again, best tweaked to your own KBD: 7 Release: 10 *** liking. Later, Zhentil
